OATS MANGO KHEER

BENEFITS :

  3. A GREAT REPLACEMENT FOR UNHEALTHY DESSERTS / BREAKFAST OPTION.

INGREDIENTS :

  1. OATS : 2 TBSP
  2. MILK : 1 CUP
  3. JAGGERY POWDER : 1 TSP
  4. MANGO : ½ CUP CHOPPED
  5. CHIRONJI / CHAROLI / CUDDAPAH ALMONDS : 1 TSP

METHOD :

BOIL OATS IN WATER UNTIL LUMPY. ADD MILK AND BOIL FOR 1 MINUTE. COOL AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. ADD JAGGERY AND MIX WELL. SPRINKLE CHIRONJI AND MANGO. REFRIGERATE FOR ATLEAST 30 MINUTES. SERVE COLD.

NUMBER 3 :

HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM

BENEFITS :

  1. NO OIL PRESENT.
  2. NO EMULSIFIERS / ADDITIVES.
  3. NO COLOUR.
  4. MUCH FEWER CALORIES FROM COMMERCIAL ICE CREAMS.

INGREDIENTS :

  1. MILK : 240 ML
  2. UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER : 50 G
  3. GRANULATED SUGAR : 100 G
  4. MILK POWDER : 35 G
  5. VANILLA ESSENCE : 1 TSP
  6. ICE CUBES : 6 CUPS

METHOD :

PLACE ALL INGREDIENTS INTO THE BLENDER (EXCEPT ICE) AND BLEND TILL SMOOTH. THEN ADD ICE CUBES AND BLEND AGAIN AT HIGH SPEED. CONTINUE JUST TILL THE ICE DOESNT START TO MELT. POUR INTO A TIGHT LID CONTAINER. LEAVE IT IN THE FREEZER FOR ATLEAST 2 HOURS. ENJOY !

CARROT RAWA DHOKLA

INGREDIENTS :

  1. RAWA : 1.5 CUPS
  2. CURD : ½ CUP
  3. CARROT : 1 SMALL, CHOPPED
  4. GREEN CHILLIES : 3-4 CHOPPED
  5. OIL / GHEE : 2 TBSP
  6. FRUIT SALT / BAKING SODA : 1.5 TSP / 1 TSP
  7. MUSTARD SEEDS : 2 TSP
  8. CUMIN SEEDS : 1 TSP
  9. CORIANDER : 5-6 LEAVES
  10. SALT TO TASTE

METHOD :

COMBINE RAWA , CURD, CHILLIES, SAUTEED CARROT, 1 TBSP OIL, SALT AND 1.5 CUPS WATER. WHISK WELL. COVER AND KEEP FOR 30-40 MINUTES. GREASE A SMALL THALI WITH OIL. JUST BEFORE STEAMING THE DHOKLA, ADD SODA AND GENTLY MIX. POUR THE BATTER IN THE GREASED THALI AND SHAKE TO DISTRIBUTE EVENLY.

TAKE A BIG STEEL VESSEL AND FILL HALF WITH WATER. PUT THIS THALI ON IT AND COVER WITH A LID. PUT ON HIGH FLAME. IT WILL GET STEAMED IN 10-15 MINUTES.

ONCE DONE, COOL FOR A WHILE. THEN TAKE GHEE, TEMPER WITH MUSTARD, CUMIN AND POUR ON THE DHOKLAS. ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER. CUT INTO SQUARES AND SERVE WITH HOMEMADE GREEN CHUTNEY.

NO ADDED SUGAR MANGO PEDA

BENEFITS :

INGREDIENTS :

  1. MILK POWDER : 1.5 CUPS
  2. MILK : ¼ CUP
  3. FRESH MANGO PUREE : 2 TBSP
  4. STEVIA / SUGER FREE POWDER : AS PER TASTE
  5. MELTED GHEE : 2 TBSP
  6. CARDAMOM POWDER : A PINCH
  7. ALMOND / PISTACHIO SLIVERS : 2 TBSP

METHOD :

IN A NON STICK PAN, ADD GHEE, MILK, MILK POWDER AND MIX WELL. KEEP FLAME LOW, ADD STEVIA, MANGO PUREE AND KEEP MIXIXNG CONTINOUSLY. WHEN MIXTURE APPEARS THICK AND COMES TOGETHER LIKE A BALL, PUT ON A GREASED PLATE.

SPREAD WELL USING A GREASED SPATULA, SPRINKLE NUTS, PRESS LIGHTLY. NOW KEEP THIS PLATE IN THE REFRIGERATOR FPR 2 HOURS. REMOVE, GIVE SHAPE WITH A CIRCULAR MOULD AND ENJOY !
